Holy Shit! What was this AWESOMENESS I just read?!?! OMG, Can I read it again tonight???!!!

“I was my father’s daughter. I’d been born that way then forged further into his image by the fire of trails I’d undergone in my formative years. It was a good likeness, one I was secretly proud to have more of than King, but for the first time in my life even after everything he’d done for us, I understand the incredible responsibility Dad must have felt knowing he had the power to keep us safe and happy. Now, I yielded the same power, and I wanted to be strong enough, Zeus enough, to carry the weight of it through to the bitter end.”

Giana Darling is one of my go to authors when I want something sexy as fuck that delivers a hell of an impact, and there is no doubt that everything she writes delivers on those promises. Her storytelling keeps getting better with Good Gone Bad exceeding every expectation I had and then some! I have been anticipating Harley Rose’s book since I finished Lesson’s in Corruption a year ago…. Of course, I never anticipated the story would own my heart in quite the same way as Cress and King’s story did—but I should have known better.

“You think there isn’t something threatening about beauty, you haven’t seen it, not really. There is so much power in a pretty thing, in its capacity to rule your thoughts and puppeteer your actions. It’s a shiny thing and we’re all just crows, helpless against its appeal.”

“If Lionel Danner wanted me, he’d have to come to me, over to the dark side where outlaws ruled, sinning was route, and love was blind. He’d have to be the bad boy to my bad girl. And I knew, the kind of guy he was, that would never happen.”

I am in-love with every aspect of Good Gone Bad. This is likely to be a long as fuck review but then again, most already expect such reviews from me…😉 As much as I love each book Giana’s written, this storyline is her best to date. I literally couldn’t put it down, and I wanted to pick it up to start all over again the second I finished it! The faster pace was perfect—its action packed and kept me guessing the whole time—the storyline was enthralling and powerful, and the writing superb. Harley Rose and Danner’s relationship has been building for nearly 2 decades. Giana takes care to introduce the bond that exists between the pair by artfully layering the past and the present to cement a bond that’s as necessary as oxygen for the pair. Good Gone Bad is the classic tale of good guy and a bad girl but it’s masterfully woven together so that Dirty Danner and his Rebel Rose find a love that transcends either of their individual realities. Each book of The Fallen Men series addresses very distinct taboo relationships—Lessons in Corruption is a student/teacher romance, Welcome to the Dark Side is an older man/younger woman and Good Gone Bad is a BDSM, Criminal/Cop romance. I can appreciate the delicious distinctions of each book and would tell you that they are all some of the sexiest stories I’ve read. Be prepared for your panties to straight melt off your body… have your spouses on standby and/or have those batteries charged because you will need BOB for sure when you read anything Giana Darling writes!

“I could keep you here like this all day. My good little whore presenting herself. I’d eat you for breakfast, torture you for lunch and then, when you were starved for it, I’d fuck you all through dinner and gift you my cum for dessert.”

“As soon as I put my hands on your body, you are my instrument to play. And I’m tellin’ you right now, Harleigh Rose, I plan to play you all day long, until your strings are frayed and your tones are harsh as fuck coming outta that dirty mouth.”

As much as I love the kink Giana Darling writes, ultimately its her characters that I find powerful and poignant. You see, she has this way of writing characters that is truly phenomenal—fiction or not, you cannot help but fall for them. They are original, genuine and offer readers more dimension in one book than some authors can achieve in duets or trilogies. I’ve read all six books in Giana’s catalogue, but her outlaw bikers have just owned me with each book. As kinky as the story may get, you still read a solid romance that gives you all the emotional ups and downs that I, personally, crave. They manage to bring me to tears each time, and I swear Giana must take some sycophantic joy in collecting her dues from us readers thusly!😉 HR and Danner were very complex characters and as different as they were, they were also similar. He had an innate goodness and belief in justice while also being deliciously dirty and in need of a Dom/sub relationship and she was the bad girl biker princess who craved nothing more than to no longer have to choose between good and bad. If you need further proof of the skill with which Giana writes her characters, you’ll only find it buy one clicking a book immediately and digging in. You can not go wrong and ultimately, I think you’re sincerely missing out if you’re reading these reviews and not straight up reading the books themselves. Quite reading reviews—which might have spoilers—one-click Girl Gone Bad immediately!! You. Won’t. Be. Sorry!!!

“For the first time in years my spirit felt free from its cage of self-doubt and reprimands, liberated from social constrains and mores. I thought being an outlaw was as free as it got but I was wrong. This was true freedom, giving myself over to the hands of a man who would let me run wild, but keep me safe as I did it.”
