Blood and Chaos by S.M. Soto
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW. Blood and Chaos kept me on the edge of my seat from being to end.

Sophia so desperately thought she was tainted— like a crushed, damaged human being, incapable of being whole again, but that’s where she was wrong. Sophia is the definition of purity and innocence, caught up in a world of violence.

I broke the only promise that mattered— I swore no one would ever hurt her again. And I fucking failed. Sophia would never trust me again.

The Chaos series continues with book two, Blood and Chaos by S.M. Soto and what a rollercoaster of emotions and drama this one was. In striving to keep this review completely free of spoilers, I have opted to also keep it very short. (Trust me, you’ll thank me for that later) Blood and Chaos picks up where the epic cliffhanger that Deception and Chaos ended on. And can I just say that S.M. Soto has solidified herself as a favorite author of mine with this series. Although originally I believed this to be a duet, it is in fact a trilogy so that crazy train is not complete with book two. However, per the author, the third and final book will be releasing in February so do not let that stop you from reading this book now!

Diavolo Sabella. A killer. A machine. A fucking Ghost.

“Because I’m the fucking Ghost,” I say quietly, with an edge to my tone. “And I always find my intended target.” I stare through Garrett, not even seeing him, the only thing I see is vengeance and a bloodbath.

The Chaos series is well written and unpredictable. I didn’t know what to expect. Also, while readers did have to wait longer than initially expected for the second book (and the third for that matter), these books are well worth that additional time the author took to write the story. I have read both books in this series while sitting on the very edge of my seat with a pounding heart and I couldn’t recommend them more! With Blood and Chaos, we get far more of Creed’s perspective and this true dual perspective romance left me literally stunned. I couldn’t even form a sentence of this review for the first day after I finished reading it. If you like jaw-dropping suspense and extra seXXXy reads—this book was downright erotic!—you simply cannot go wrong. It feels like Creed and Sophia will never get to be together happily—everything stands between them and love is the only link they have. As I read Blood and Chaos, the question of whether love is really a weakness or a strength ran through my head on a constant loop. While I don’t have an answer for that yet, I can tell you that there is definitely something to be said for the way that Creed loves Sophia. This pair has literally walked through the fires of hell to be together and I can’t wait to see what S.M. Soto has in store for us in the final book, Love and Chaos. Giving Blood and Chaos five stars is simply unjust… Make sure you’ve checked out Deception and Chaos and Blood and Chaos long before the last installment releases in February…

There was something about him that made me feel very small when I was around him, but he also made me feel safe. Something that even now, still surprises me. He’s raw, untapped power, but he’s also gentle and at times, a sea of calm. He’s a walking contradiction, and I love him for it.
