The Right Stud by Tia Louise and Ilsa Madden-Mills is fantastic. If you are looking for a light hearted, well written rom-com that will leave you glued to your seat this weekend, then you couldn’t pick a better book to enjoy. Tia Louise and Ilsa Madden-Mills are both exceptionally talented authors, and combining their forces makes for an extraordinary book! The story is written in duel perspectives, so readers really get to know the hero and heroine of this book. The story is a quick read that will draw you right in. Jax is trying to make his show The Right Stud a hit in the world of HGTV and he believes that he’s found his ticket to fame in the renovation of a family’s bed and breakfast in a beautiful South Carolina town. A town he thought he was done with. Ashton figures that the best way to get over one man is to get under another…and she almost does. When circumstances lead to Jax splitting from the bar where he met a sexy siren, he figures he’ll never see her again. Only his sexy siren is none other than the homeowner that emailed him about helping to renovate the bed and breakfast he’s in town to see. Life keeps throwing the two together, and the spark is undeniable. Soon the only thing driving a wedge between them is the secrets Jax keeps from Ashton.
The Right Stud had it all. A smoking hawt hero, a sweet and slightly broken heroine, a picturesque seaside location, a goat, incredible chemistry and lots of sizzle between our hero and heroine. Yes, you read that right… a goat! The story is full of fun to break up the tension… and at one point I was pretty sure that my own clothes were going to ignite because there were so many sparks flying off Jax and Ashton. As I mentioned previously, this is a quick read that draws the reader right into the story. Also, I promise the characters – both primary and secondary – steal the show! You will love Jax and Ashton together and your heart will break for them both intermittently. And no joke, there are a few scenes in this book that had me laughing until I was crying. Tia Louise and Ilsa Madden-Mills always write great stories individually, but I love their collaborations as well! I sincerely hope we see another one soon because I am dying to read more about Ashton’s brother and best friend hooking up! Oh, and I want more of the goat too. 😉 In the meantime, this isn’t a book anyone should pass up! The Right Stud is surely the right book for everyone this weekend!
