Spider
By Ilsa Madden-Mills
I’ve just finished Spider by Ilsa Madden-Mills and what a fantastic read it was! I love Madden-Mills writing styles and storytelling abilities. In this Duel Perspectives story, we follow Spider and Rose. Rose meets a gorgeous stranger on a plane. Not prepared for more then a quick shag, Spider never saw Rose coming. He’s an up-and-coming rockstar…and Rose’s step-brother (although the two don’t learned this nearly soon enough).
Spider is full of all the things I love about Ilsa Madden-Mills writing. She releases well written stories. They really are grammatically correct and free of syntax or spelling errors. Her books contain a host of emotions and straight up sizzle. Rose and Spider are smoking hot together, a powerful combination of chemistry that not all authors can (or do) write about when delivering a romance book to their audiences. I loved Spider and Rose’s characters, they were well developed and with the rich advantage of a true duel perspective approach, audience’s can relate to them better then they might otherwise. Of course, I have a special attachment to the fact that Spider is British – got to love Ilsa Madden-Mills and her British men! I can hear their accents in every unspoken thought… in every word that leaves their mouths. How she can capture the personalities so perfectly every time is beyond me, but that’s ok. That’s why I will continue to read each and everything from her I can get my hand on! Added to this is the fact that this is a Rockstar Romance, and it’s very much one of my all time favorite tropes in this genre.
Spider and Rose’s story was slightly more Angsty in my opinion then previous books I have read by this author, but the reason I have for feeling that way is a major spoiler and I won’t ever spoil a book in one of my reviews. Just do yourself a favor and one-click this book right now and get started tonight. You won’t regret it!
