More by J.D. Hawkins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This might come as a shock to those of you that follow my blog–since I read such a large variety of auhtors–but I have never read J.D. Hawkins. More was my introduction to his work and I can say I was in no way disappointed. This is the third and final book in the Ryder Brother’s series. The previous two books were Close by Laurelin Paige and Want by Kayti McGee. More is fun, sexy, sweet and entertaining. Jonas Ryder is the oldest and known as the elusive Ryder brother. And while his two younger brothers have maintained their careers in the music industry, Jonas chose to walk away from his own. Now, the former boyband star has been asked by his best friend to preform for the first time since he stepped away and Jonas isn’t sure that’s even possible. Hadley is a life coach and a one-night stand that Jonas can’t stop thinking about. When the one-time fling turns into a second fling, Jonas turns to Hadley to help him get beyond his hang-ups. Though Jonas makes it a rule never to return for repeats something about Hadley keeps him coming back. And while Jonas has all the right moves in the bedroom, Hadley may have bitten off more than she can chew.
More is a full-length standalone that can be read on its own. It’s written in dual perspectives, so readers will enjoy getting to know both characters and the fast pace will keep them entertained. This NA romance shows readers a different side to Jonas then they’ve encountered in the previous books. I loved the emotions and vulnerability that J.D. Hawkins pulled out of him. I am definitely looking forward to reading more of his work in the future. I would rate more at 4.5 stars and would recommend this book.
