Method by Kate Stewart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I can’t even tell truth from fiction anymore. I’m not even sure how much of our story was a lie and that’s the thing that angers me most.
Method by Kate Stewart was an emotional journey that exceeded my expectations. This book consumed me as I read… The story is very much a second chance romance that expertly weaves the past and the present together for a story that’s utterly beautiful and incomparable.
Immersion isn’t necessarily a bad thing; in fact, it’s what’s propelled me into the kind of actor I want to be, but my memory gets foggy in the weeks and months that I spend behaving as someone else. I find I have a selective sort of memory in those days. I’m not exactly somewhere else, but I’m most definitely not present.
Method was a superb example of Kate Stewart’s storytelling talents. This dual POV romance captivated me from the very beginning and had me glued to my seat until the very last line. I love Kate Stewart’s writing style and review her books at every opportunity that I am presented. She writes compelling stories and characters that you genuinely become immersed in as she weaves together angsty, raw, emotional journeys. Kate’s romances are intense and the characters so realistic that you cannot help but identify with them. As soon as Kate started telling her readers (via social media) about her WIP, I became intrigued with Method. And the more I learned about the story, the stronger the draw became. Then, the coolest thing happened! I met Kate at the Talkbooks Author Event in Boston just days before the blogger’s copy of Method hit my kindle. And in talking with her, my anticipation for Method grew… So were my expectations for this book high? Absolutely! And still, Method exceeded my expectations!!!!
Though his suffering is ripping me apart, I’ve been aching for him for months, desperate to break through the barricade he carefully constructed, the bricks he laid, that I allowed him to lay, between us. Those walls, they’re still there. He’s no longer my husband, he is the aftermath. What’s left of the man on my porch is the evidence of a job well done and the cause of our demise.
Method is a complex journey of a method actor who immerses himself deeply into his characters and what that’s like for the woman he loves. Kate elucidates Method by weaving the past and the present together in a brilliantly written, agonizingly honest, intense, raw and undeniably sexy second chance romance. My emotions were all over the place with this one, and the tears flowed with the raw emotions Mila and Lucas underwent. I was emotionally spent at the end of Method and truly believe that Kate Stewart wrote this story from personal experiences because the story owned a complexity and intensity that are unmistakably gained through enduring them yourself. I am unwilling to spoil the story and believe that the less you know about the actual plot the better. Method was undoubtedly a six-star read on a zero to five scale and I can not stress enough for readers to skip reviews and just one-click immediately!

Every time I’m inside my wife, I feel better, stronger, and worshipped, even if it’s short-lived. I am loved by her in a way no other woman could ever master. Mila is the answer, my answer. I’m lucky.

He wants forgiveness, but I can’t find it sorting through his actions of the past few months. He wants mercy where he gave none. It’s hypocritical, and it infuriates me.

We’ve become the sum of all my fears when going into this relationship and as much as I want to take some blame, anger keeps winning.
