Atticus: Secret Lies by K.L. Donn
My rating: 4.5 STARS! I LOVED THIS NOVELLA!!!

 

 

No joke, I was on pins and needles waiting for the release of this book! And WOW! Just Wow, there is a reason that I keep grabbing up KL Donn’s work as fast as she writes it. Atticus happens to be another perfect example of why KL Donn’s Adair Empire is fast becoming my favorite novella series. And I don’t like novella’s all that much! Yet, somehow regardless of this fact, each book in this series ends up causing my ass to be stuck to a flat surface from start to finish!

 

 

Atticus: Secret Lies is book four and revolves around Atticus and Catalina. These books must be read in order, but if you start the series, you will be thanking me and singing KL Donn’s praises. I do regularly. Seriously, I can’t stand to take a breath or be distracted because they are just that good. You’ll love these if you’re a fan of dark romance and like a lit (or a lot!) of kink with your super sexy reads!!! Atticus is a little tamer (as far as the kink factor) in my opinion than some of the other books in the series, but it’s no less HAWT! It’s a quick, duel perspective read that ends a cliffhanger which is why you must read the books in order. Atticus is very much the alpha man. He’s instantly attracted to Cataline and that quickly morphs into wanting far more from her. But one thing that I found to really love about this is Catalina’s character. In previous books, the heroines are involved in the continuing plot for a variety of reasons; But all have been involved in the darkness that surrounds the storyline. They are jaded in some ways and Cataline is completely free of all the past events until her own life is on the line. She’s light and Atticus is very dark, like all the past heroes in the series. The juxtapose is markedly different and I loved it.

 

 

Atticus will definitely leave you with all the feels; it’s gritty and dark, full of passion and also very action packed as are the other books in the Adair Empire series! I highly HIGHLY recommend getting started with these books without delay! Because the fifth book comes out mid- June and you do not want to miss any more of these fabulous books!!! Grab King and get started on the Adair Empire… Hell grab them ALL right now. Reading too many reviews are just going to spoil the books at some point because usually someone puts books spoilers in them in my experiences!
