All of Me by A.L. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A chance meeting. An illicit proposal. Intrigue. Suspense. Heart-wrenching emotions. All of Me was everything!
…the man was the messenger of seduction with the way he was whispering promises at my skin. “I’d make you come again and again until the only thing you knew was the pleasure only I can give you. The feel of my hands and my cock and my skin and our bodies giving in. It’ll leave you with a memory you’ll never forget.”
If I had to make a short list of favorite authors, A.L. Jackson would be among those I listed. I’ve been a lurker on her social media sites for some time. As a matter of fact, after the first book I read, A Stone in the Sea, I literally checked every day for nearly a year for its conclusion, Drowning to Breathe, to release. Every. Day. That’s the kind of dedication I felt after just one book by this author. It’s true I haven’t been fortunate enough to read all of the books in her catalogue, but of the eleven I have read, All of Me is my all-time FAVORITE book written by A.L. Jackson. It was supremely sexy and the story keep me to the edge of my seat. Truly, I couldn’t put it down. A.L. Jackson writes the most delicious romances and as much as I have loved every book she’s written, there was something undeniably remarkable about All of Me. The story is mind-blowingly good and the writing spectacular. And I love that All of Me was a second chance romance for both characters.
Ian Jacobs: Callous. Arrogant. Ruthless.
Grace Dearbourne: Beautiful, inside and out. A battered Cinderella. My broken angel.
Without a doubt, A.L. Jacksons characters inspire you to fall head-over-heals for them. All of Me was no exception to this and in fact, Ian Jacobs was my favorite male protagonist to date. He’s broken and damaged. He left me drooling like a dog after a bone… he’s just that damn hot! And Grace Dearborne juxtaposes Ian’s character perfectly. She’s the Angel Girl to his Devil. Gah, they were perfect together! Be prepared to need a change of panties—if not BOB or a cold shower—after you start reading All of Me because it. Is. HAWT!!! The chemistry between Ian and Grace will ignite your kindle. What is more, the depth of emotion in this book is staggering. I literally sobbed at one point. Grace’s plight is going to wrap itself tightly around your heart. I have no doubt you will be just as obsessive as I was with Ian and Grace finding their HEA.
Do. Not. Wait. Buy All of Me right now and start reading. This book deserves more than five stars…
Excerpt:
He brushed back a lock of hair at the side of my face, his mouth taking its spot, the heat of his lips caressing across my skin. “I’m the devil.”
There was no lightness in it.
No playful caress.
It was bitter and hard and ugly.
This was the guy who’d first propositioned me at the bar that night. The one who’d outright warned that the only thing he wanted was to use me, fine with the idea of someone using him.
But I was coming to the quick realization that guy was really the illusion. A mask that wasn’t real. Bred for cover and protection.
“I don’t believe you,” I whispered.
Because I’d already seen it—something good. A flash of vulnerability.
He leaned in closer, sliding his hand across the fabric until our fingertips were touching. “You should.”
I gulped and pushed out the words, barely heard as they fell from my tongue, “And what about the guy who asked me for a chance? For someone to believe in him? The guy who wants to be worth it?”
Ian angled his head, his voice the rasp of a murmur across my cheek. “He’s praying you won’t hate him when you really get to know him.”
