Pike by T.M. Fraizer
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars
Orgasms and endings are my thing
He’s so fucking arrogant and so cocky and his lips are heaven and hell.
T.M. Fraizer is a master a putting together books that hold you on the edge of your seat and make you crave the dark, gritty, and depraved romances she pens! Ever since I read King, I have been hooked to the skill and sharpness that go hand in hand with her stories. Pike is the first book in her newest King series dark romance; it’s also the first book of her The Pawn Duet.
Pike and I aren’t at war. We never were. We are what’s left over after the battle’s already been lost on both sides. We’re not soldiers. We’re carnage.
First things first, you can read Pike and the conclusion to The Pawn Duet, Pawn, without previously reading books in the King Series. However, I’m the type of reader that reads series books in order, and I always find that it enriches a story. If you’re like me, the series reading order is:
1. King
2. Tyrant
3. Lawless
4. Soulless
5. Preppy Part 1
6. Preppy Part 2
7. Preppy Part 3
8. Up In Smoke
9. N9ne
10. Pike
11.Pawn (coming soon)
These books are not for the faint, and if you like antihero’s alphas—with a strong asshole/dominant predisposition—then you have found the right books. I personally can’t get enough of them and try at every turn to get my hands them! (If you’re looking for sweet and realistic, first world problem romances, you should definitely keep searching! 😉) Pike meets all the aforementioned characteristics and I lapped it up like a cat with cream…!! 😎 . Pike has a kickass heroine for a counterpart. Mickey is feisty and unapologetically getting her revenge…much like Pike!
When it comes to this girl, my instincts are at war. One tells me to punish. The other to protect. Only one can win.
The story flows perfectly and it takes place at a fast pace and you will be ready to throw your kindle by the time you reach the cliffhanger….and oh yes, prepare your hearts for that from the get-go because it will take you a while to breathe again!!! I’m relatively sure that until Pawn is in my hot little hands that’s more than I’m capable of. Also, like all of its predecessors, Pike is unpredictable. Every time I turned a page, I thought the floor was falling out from beneath me, but I couldn’t have put it down to save my life. I don’t have anything negative to shed light on with Pike, and I am chomping at the bit to get my hands on the story’s conclusion. In the meantime, I highly, highly recommend you get your hands on any one of the books in the series if you haven’t started the King Series. Binge read right up until you’re ready for the release of Pawn!!!
