A Favor for a Favor by Helena Hunting My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A Favor for a Favor was absolutely hilarious, sexy and endearing. Helena Hunting never disappoints, and that didn’t start with the second standalone in the All In series. I’ve been excited to continue reading Hunting’s latest hockey spin-off series since I finished A Lie for a Lie. And my anticipation and excitement was met with an incredibly entertaining, five-star read that I highly recommend.
A Favor for a Favor is a slow burn, witty sports romance with the perfect combination of both an enemies to lovers and a friends to lovers trope. When I sat down to write the review for my latest five star read, I was on the fence about whether I would term it enemies to lovers or friends… it’s so hard without really getting into the nitty-gritty of the storylines, so I will let you decide which side of the fence you fall onto. On the other hand, Bishop and Stevie’s chemistry is undeniable from the get-go. As is the instant attraction, simmering frustration and sexual tension compiled with developing friendship and witty banter making A Favor for a Favor the romance that offers allll the feels! You’ll be laughing out loud and so hot under the collar, you’ll be in desperate need of a cold shower. The story is face-paced and kept me entertained from start to finish. I read this in one sitting—honestly, I couldn’t put it down if I tried. The writing is stellar and no-one does sports-romance quite like Helena Hunting. If you’ve not read A Lie for a Lie, you can still pick up this one and read it without any difficulty whatsoever. One-Click A Favor for a Favor because it’s romance perfection in just 300 pages!!!
