👋 Hi, I’m Danielle and I created Spellbound Stories. As an avid reader, it just made sense to share my opinions with you! I have read endlessly since I first learned eons ago, and since I have a lot of insight into this incredible new world that’s arisen since e-readers became the go-to method for publication, I’ll be sharing my opinions here regularly!
A little about me: I’m a coffee-oholic as well as a wife and mother. My days start with an Americano and my children fighting or rushing to school and end with a book—always! My children keep me extremely busy, but I still manage to drag my Kindle with me everywhere and anywhere I go. It’s no joke that since I got my first e-reader, I have become quite obsessive with the books I buy—and all too often, my credit card is sorely abused!

I always knew I’d show my kids that getting lost in an amazing story takes you from the realities of life and catapults you to the moon and stars. My oldest and middle kiddos now share the same love of reading that I always had as a child, and my youngest isn’t far behind. I continue to show and support the importance of books in our daily lives.
I seize every chance to show my boys just how powerful the written word can be—and not a single day goes by without them diving into a good book! From their current obsessions with Marvel and DC superheroes, to the captivating world of Japanese manga, and the thrilling tales spun by Rick Riordan and J.K. Rowling, they’re constantly on the hunt for their next literary adventure. Our local bookstore has become their second home, and I’ve even swapped their allowance for books as a clever incentive!
I stick predominately with romances, however I’ve read everything from classic literature to autobiographies at one point or another. Currently, I binge-read many indie and traditionally published authors and find myself most drawn to romances that are

Hi there, I’m Joy! I met Danielle a few years ago in a reader group on Facebook. Due to our love of books, we instantly hit it off and became fast friends. When she asked me to help her with Spellbound Stories, of course I said yes, and it’s been a blast ever since.
Since I was a child, I’ve loved to read and my earliest favorite was Little Women. I attribute my love of reading Romance to my Mother, who introduced me to the world of Danielle Steel, Sandra Brown and so many others. I, in turn, introduced her to the world of Fifty Shades of Grey, lol.
To this day, I read every day and have met so many wonderful authors via Spellbound and Facebook.
If I don’t have my Kindle with me, I have the app on my phone. It’s my outlet from the day-to-day stress of work, and I can live vicariously through these amazing authors’ words. Besides books, I have been married for almost 39 years to the love of my life, have two wonderful sons and daughters-in-law, plus my heart belongs to my 2 adorable granddaughters. And for those who really know me, are aware of my love for wine and flamingos.
Books have played an integral part of my life since I was younger. I did always LOVE to read but when I found a good book that I loved it’s because it affected me and so I learned early on about the power of the written word. I share my love of books with my own kids and so we have over 1000 books in our home ranging from various levels to different genres! I love books so much that I make it my job! I’m an English teacher and can spend my days talking books!!
I mostly read romance these days, but my first love will always be fantasy! I still find myself reading fantasy from time to time when I need to “come home,” but you can definitely tempt me to read anything that’s
