So, the hardcore Meghan March junkie that I am couldn’t wait to dig into Guilty as Sin, book two in the Sin Trilogy. Unfortunately, life and my work commitments didn’t allow me to grab it the very second it hit my kindle, but I rectified that little problem in short order! And Meghan doesn’t disappoint with this one, which picks up right where we left off with Richer Than Sin. Now, you don’t need me to tell you that Meghan is a skilled author who writes tantalizing romances that readers cannot put down. But she hasn’t become a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author without having readers (and bloggers) who are willing to tell you these things. In today’s publishing climate, relaying why an author’s book is so outstanding is essential to their success. And Meghan March? She deserves her success and the accolades that have been awarded to her over the course of her journey as an author. I haven’t been able to catch up on each and every book that she’s released since I discovered her a little less than two years ago, but she is an automatic one-click for me whether I know I am going to be able to read a book right away or not. As soon as the pre-order is available or first thing on release day, I have the book purchase. I simply love the way she writes, how each book is soooo different, and how hot her stories are.

Richer Than Sin was the start of the uncertain journey of Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable who find themselves following in the same path as their predecessors. After all, A Gable and a Riscoff could never be together. Fate would never let it happen. Their forbidden relationship was proof positive that the sins of the past always come back to haunt us all and no skeleton can stay hidden in a closet forever. And after leaving readers with a stunning cliffhanger, I for one was utterly destroyed by the few weeks in-between that I had to wait to begin reading Guilty as Sin. However, Meghan March did not disappoint… Guilty as Sin continued the story of lovers who have an undeniable pull and chemistry which is still drawing them together even after a decade and distance kept them apart… But Lincoln refuses to allow his second chance with Whitney to turn out the way their first chance together did. He’s determined to prove to her that their second chance is going to right the wrongs of their past! But the road they travel is complex and layered with heartache from all sides. Trust is paramount and when everyone tries to pull them apart, can they hold tight to the love they have always shared?

Guilty as Sin leaves readers with another massive bombshell dropped at our feet and I was reminded of why I wanted to chuck my kindle at the end of the Richer Than Sin. My response to this cliffhanger was tempered only by my expectation that it would happen with this book. But let’s face facts, it’s one of the best marketing strategies Meghan March could employ if she is going to write a trilogy and not just interconnected standalones. Either way, she’s the mistress of outstanding, modern day contemporary romance. Her proven track record is proof positive that she’s got her finger on the pulse of contemporary romance. The Sin Trilogy is told in duel perspective while layering the events of the past with those of the present. While Richer Than Sin established a foundation for Lincoln and Whitney, Guilty as Sin also delves deeper into their background. Without question, readers should prepare themselves for more of everything… this book is more angsty, contains more secrets and twists, which in-turn creates more drama for the couple who just want the chance to love one another freely. And just when grand gestures have united the pair, fate again steps in to shake things up.

“I’m done letting other people manipulate our lives to keep us apart. I’m fucking done. You leave, I leave. End of story.”

 

I wish that I could immediately dive my way into the final installation in this trilogy, Revealing as Sin. To say it’s one of my most anticipated reads of October would be completely underscoring just how much it’s killing me to wait! It’s a good thing it’s already been pre-ordered and I plan to clear my calendar of everything that isn’t life essential when it’s available! Bravo, Meghan March on successfully following up one truly outstanding story with an equally outstanding accompaniment and on continuing to show readers like myself why we love your work. Thank you for continuing to write truly beautiful, diverse, and original love stories that keep us on the edge of our seats. I know that I rarely am able to put down a story you’ve written!
