Persuading Perfection by T.C. Matson
My rating: 4.5 of 5 STARS!!!
TC Matson’s Persuading Perfections is absolutely AMAZING! This is book two in her Debonair Series and the perfect follow up to Broken Boundaries. Each book in the series is a standalone and revolves around a new couple. Persuading Perfection follows Zackary Calloway and Jude Lauder. Zack has loved his best friend’s little sister for more than half his life. Their hook-ups are intense and clandestine… no one can know, or Zack risks the demise of his relationship with best friend, Max. Until life drops the ultimate bomb on the two and their relationship can no longer be concealed. Now, Zack is going for broke, unwilling and unable to walk away from the woman he so desperately loves… even if it cost him his relationship with Max because when all is said and done, how do you walk away from the other half of your soul?! Zack is going to prove to Jude (and everyone else) that absolutely nothing is more important than her.
There is something about the way TC Matson’s heroes and heroines are incredible and leave a lasting impression. Zack and Jude are no different. I have come to expect that with some author’s work, I am just bound to find myself completely in love with their hero and/or their heroine. And let me tell you, Zack?! Yah, Zack is quite the catch. He’s a success architect who’s sweet, and so soo soooooo sexy! While he’s hurt Jude in the past, he’s been hurt by her as well and yet he has never been able to walk away from the only woman who he’s ever going to love. After Jude’s bombshell, he needs a moment to recalibrate, but that same bombshell gives him the opportunity and incentive to finally push Jude for more. I really loved the way he loved Jude… I loved that while his reputation may have been that of a player, in reality he wasn’t willing (or maybe capable is the more suitable word choice?) to commit to anyone because he needed Jude in whatever capacity he could have her. Jude was easy to love as well. She’s funny and sweet and just perfect for Zack. Although Jude did piss me off a few times, much like her brother and at one point, I might have been ready to throw my kindle at her… But as a woman who’s been hurt repeatedly by the same man, I also identified with her and understood why she behaved the way she did. The chemistry between the pair is explosive! And I would be extremely surprised if readers didn’t agree. As previously mentioned, this is a standalone book within a series, so you will get to catch up with Easton and Zoey, who I was crazy in love with! That’s something I love about books within a series… you don’t have to say goodbye once the last page has been turned. Also, I FLOVE TC Matson’s characters, whether they are the primary or secondary. Now, that being said, I totally wanted to kick Max’s ASS!!! But a part of me understood his pain at the secrets his sister and best friend kept from him. Also, Max’s book is next in the series, so I am sure he’ll be redeemed and who doesn’t love a man that knows his wines! 😉
Persuading Perfections is captivating! Author TC Matson’s books are always well-written, and I quickly fall into the zone reading them. Persuading Perfection is told in duel perspectives and your heart will quickly ache for this couple – mine certainly did! My heart also raced with excitement as well… be prepared with tissues as the story really delivers an array of emotions. TC Matson did a fantastic job plunging readers straight into the damage and emotions that are the result of a long term clandestine relationship. Also, Persuading Perfection is literally the PERFECT title for this book! Once you read it, I am sure you’ll agree. It’s set to the perfect pace and didn’t lag at any point in my opinion. Persuading Perfection includes a beautiful HEA with a high and intense level of heat between the Zack and Jude. As a matter of fact… you might want to have time for a cold shower while reading this book! Whereas Broken Boundaries was an sizzling slow burn, Persuading Perfection is sexy in the extreme right from the get go! I really just loved the book from start to finish and hope you’ll one click it immediately… whether you’re a new or old reader of TC Matson’s work, I am sure you will be far from disappointed 😉!!!
